Terms & Conditions

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TaxSim at indiataxsim.com, operated by Sajan Thesis Works, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India (Udyam: UDYAM-KL-12-0069167, D-U-N-S: 771974696), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use this platform.

2. Educational Simulation Only

TaxSim is a simulation and training platform for educational purposes only. No real GST filings, registrations, tax payments, or government submissions are performed through this platform. All ARN numbers, GSTINs, invoices, challans, and tax figures generated are simulated and have no legal validity. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal, financial, or tax advice. For actual GST compliance, consult a qualified Chartered Accountant or Tax Professional and use the official GST portal at www.gst.gov.in.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years of age to use this platform.
  • One person may not maintain multiple student accounts. Institutes maintain one institute account per organisation.
  • You agree not to share your login credentials with others.

4. Credits & Plans

  • Every new account receives 1 free credit on signup. Portal browsing, GSTR-2A/2B/IMS viewing, and all PDF/Excel/JSON downloads are always free — no credits deducted.
  • The following actions each cost 1 credit: GST Registration, Tax Invoice creation, e-Invoice IRN generation (per batch), Tax Payment via challan, GSTR-1/3B/9/9C/7/8/5A/5/4 filing, CMP-08 filing, Load Demo Data, IMS reject action, Account Reset.
  • Credits are required before accessing the GST Portal. The 1 free credit on signup allows one GST Registration to get started.
  • The Standard plan (₹500, one-time) grants 50 credits.
  • Credits never expire. They remain valid as long as your account is active.
  • Credits are non-transferable between individual student accounts.
  • Credits consumed (used for actions) are non-refundable.
  • Institute plans include bulk credits that institutes may distribute to their enrolled students. The minimum first transfer to a student is 50 credits; subsequent transfers must be at least 25 credits per student.

5. Payments

  • All payments are processed securely by Razorpay. We do not store card, UPI, or net banking credentials.
  • Prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) inclusive of applicable taxes.
  • Credits are added to your account immediately upon confirmed payment.
  • In the event of a failed or reversed transaction, credits will not be awarded until payment is fully confirmed.
  • Please refer to our Refund Policy for cancellation and refund terms.

6. GST Portal Proficiency Exam Terms

  • The GST Portal Proficiency Exam is a separate paid feature (₹100 per attempt), not deducted from credit balance.
  • Eligibility: a student must have used at least 50 credits in practice before attempting the exam.
  • Exam fees are non-refundable once an attempt has been submitted, regardless of the result.
  • Each attempt consists of 50 practical filing questions, shuffled on every attempt.
  • There is no time limit per attempt once started.
  • Sajan Thesis Works reserves the right to update exam questions, passing criteria, and format at any time with or without prior notice.
  • Passing the exam grants a completion certificate. The certificate is issued by the platform (or the institute, if the student is enrolled via an institute account).
  • Certificates are for educational/training purposes only and do not constitute any government-recognised qualification.

7. Institute Plans & Student Enrollment

  • Institutes agree to use TaxSim solely for legitimate training and educational purposes.
  • Institutes are responsible for enrolling only genuine students and for the accuracy of email addresses provided during enrollment.
  • Institute plan fees are non-refundable once student enrollment actions have been performed.
  • Institutes may issue their own branded completion certificates using the platform's certificate feature. The institute is solely responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of any certificate it issues.
  • Sajan Thesis Works is not responsible for disputes between an institute and its students regarding certificate issuance, course completion, or any other matter.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any actual tax filing, registration, or government submission.
  • Share or resell your account, credits, or access to others outside the permitted institute model.
  • Attempt to bypass credit limits, payment gates, or security measures by any technical or other means.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from any part of the platform.
  • Use automated bots, scripts, or tools to interact with the platform.
  • Upload malicious code, conduct denial-of-service attacks, or interfere with the platform's infrastructure.
  • Impersonate another user, entity, or government authority.

  • Decisions made or actions taken based on information from this platform.
  • Any actual tax penalties, interest, or compliance failures arising from reliance on simulation results.
  • Loss of data, interruption of service, or platform downtime.

Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid for your current plan.

12. No Dispute on Platform Operation

By using TaxSim, you unconditionally agree that:

  • This is a simulation platform — no real government interaction occurs. You will not raise any dispute claiming otherwise.
  • Feature availability, credit policies, and exam rules may change at Sajan Thesis Works' sole discretion with reasonable notice.
  • Any dissatisfaction with the platform must be raised via the contact details below before any formal dispute process is initiated.
  • Frivolous, vexatious, or bad-faith complaints or chargebacks may result in permanent account suspension.

13. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. In the event of any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the platform, the parties agree to first attempt resolution by written notice to info@indiataxsim.com.
